Expert Vector Control

Professional Mosquito
Management in Kerala

Kerala’s tropical climate — warm year-round temperatures, two annual monsoon seasons, high rainfall, and extensive backwater systems — makes it one of India’s highest-risk environments for mosquito-borne disease. Dengue fever, chikungunya, and malaria are endemic to the region. During and after each monsoon season, mosquito populations can spike dramatically, turning outdoor spaces and even indoor rooms into active health risks.

Mosquitoes in Kerala Carry Real Disease Risk

Understanding our adversary is the first step in clinical prevention. Kerala's climate supports two primary disease vectors.

Aedes mosquito

Aedes aegypti

DENGUE & CHIKUNGUNYA VECTOR
  • Active during dawn and dusk hours
  • Breeds in clean stagnant water (flower pots, trays, containers)
  • Prefers indoor environments and shaded areas
Anopheles mosquito

Anopheles

MALARIA VECTOR
  • Highly active during night hours
  • Breeds in larger water bodies, ponds, and marshes
  • Strong fliers, can travel long distances to feed

Scientific Eradication Methods

We utilize a 4-tier scientific approach to break the mosquito life cycle at every stage.

Biological & Chemical Integration

Larviciding

Source Treatment

The most cost-effective and environmentally responsible method. We identify and treat all standing water sources on the property with government-approved larvicides that kill mosquito larvae before they emerge as adults. One larvicide application prevents hundreds of adults from ever developing. Effective on gutters, overhead tanks, sumps, ornamental features, plant pot bases, and construction water.

ULV Fogging

Adult Control

Ultra-low volume fogging disperses a fine insecticide mist that provides immediate knockdown of adult mosquito populations. Effective before outdoor events, as an emergency response during a dengue cluster, or as a rapid population reduction measure. Effects last three to five days. Fogging must be combined with larviciding for sustainable control.

Indoor Residual Spray

Anopheles Control

For Anopheles control, we apply a residual insecticide to internal wall surfaces and dark resting areas where mosquitoes settle during the day. The method recommended by the WHO and NVBDCP for malaria control.

Source Reduction Audit

Systematic Diagnostic

A systematic survey of the entire property identifying every current and potential breeding site. The written audit report provides prioritised, actionable recommendations for permanent reductions in breeding habitat. The single most impactful long-term intervention available.

What's Included in Our Mosquito Programme

  • Property survey identifying all breeding sites
  • Larval treatment of all identified water bodies
  • ULV fogging of outdoor areas and indoor spaces as required
  • Written source reduction audit report
  • Monthly follow-up visits during monsoon season
  • Building-wide coverage available for apartment societies

Timing: Start Before the Monsoon

The single most important piece of advice for Kerala property owners: begin your mosquito management programme in April or May, before the southwest monsoon arrives. Early larviciding and source reduction eliminates breeding infrastructure before populations can spike. Properties that begin treatment after monsoon onset are always managing a population that is already growing. For the northeast monsoon (October to December), restart or continue from September.

Expert Advice

Fortifying your property before heavy rains prevent exponential population spikes in Trivandrum and Kollam.

Prevention Checklist

  • Empty Pot Saucers

Check saucers and drain trays weekly to remove standing water.

  • Cover Water Tanks

Ensure all storage tanks are tightly sealed.

  • Clear Gutters

Ensure drainage flows freely to prevent stagnant pools.

  • Window Screens

Use mesh screens to prevent indoor entry.

Safety Protocol Requirements

Your family's safety is our priority. ULV Fogging requires 30 minutes of property vacancy after treatment. Indoor Residual Spray requires 2-4 hours for complete settling. We use strictly approved residential formulations.
